Even after a whole month in Florence, we kept finding new stuff to check out in this city packed with ancient wonders! I’m sharing a list of must-see spots in Florence, plus some useful tips we picked up the hard way, to help anyone planning their study abroad adventure!

In our first week, we wandered all around the city and stumbled upon a bunch of random churches and the coolest little shops and buildings! These are some of our favorites that you can walk to and appreciate from the outside, or go inside and find museums and beautiful shopping centers!

Florence is called the Cradle of the Renaissance for a reason—there's a ton of statues and artwork to check out. Some places need a ticket, but trust me, they're totally worth it!

*Quick tip: If possible, grab all your tickets online and book them ahead of time! Make sure to get there at least 15 minutes before your scheduled time because the lines can be crazy long, and they won’t let you in if you’re late!

These are a collection of our favorite places we found while wandering through the streets of Florence. However, these are only a small portion of the countless churches, charming shops, and hidden gems that we missed. I urge everyone who visits this remarkable city to lose themselves in its embrace—stroll through the corridors and alleyways; step into every intriguing shop you find, and explore without a set plan. Florence is a vast and breathtaking city, with rich history, mouthwatering cuisine, and extraordinary shopping experiences. Enjoy every moment of living in one of the world's most culturally rich cities throughout history; you might just discover a part of yourself in its timeless beauty.
